Summer Production
HONK "The Musical (Winner of the Laurence Olivier Best Musical Award 2000)
Mullion School begins its preparation for the musical theatre production of the award winning musical ‘Honk’. The show will be performed on July 9th ,10th, 11th and 12th July in the school hall.
The show tells the story of the original ‘Ugly Duckling’ fairytale brought into a modern setting and deals with the issues of prejudice against its main character ‘Ugly’ and covers his journey from an outcast to the ultimate hero. The show will see the cast deliver scenes of hilarious comedy and deep sadness whilst keeping the audience entertained with some foot tapping musical numbers. Auditions will be taking place on Tuesday 13th March from 3.30pm-5.30pm and rehearsal schedules are posted on the music room noticeboard on a weekly basis . Further information is available from Mr Ben Merritt, Head of Performing Arts and Miss Georgina Davies, music teacher.
